Off to China!! YEAH!!!

Our friend K is off to China to meet her daughter- currently known as

Whatshername & bring her home.

K has waited for this for more than 18 months. They will meet in Kunming this Sunday

at 3.30 pm which is 8.30 UK time. The next day the adoption will be formalised &

K will be her Mummy forever! We will be scouring K's travel blog to see the first

pictures & finally learn her name. Hoping for a safe journey, & looking forward to

seeing them before we move.

Homeward Bound

My hubby is on his way home. Hurrah!

He's been very busy. As well as working he's

been trying to enrol T in school, looking at

apartments & entering the ballot for tickets

for the Olympic games. Not to mention my

shopping list!

When will it stop raining?

It seems to have been raining for weeks. It almost seems incrdible that last year we had hospipe bans, we awoke this morning to hear Shefiield, Leeds & Hull has been flooded and the Ulley Resevoir is in danger of collapse. The reservoir near Rotherham is 46 feet (14 meters) deep and covers an area of 35 acres (14 hectares). It was built in 1874 and supplied drinking water to Rotherham for a century. By the 1980s it was no longer needed and is now a park popular country park.

The Dam is in the area we lived before we moved to South Wales.

Such a lot has happened so here's a quick update: We have our LID which is 12/12/06 it's much later than we hoped but i suppose thats all part of the ups & downs of intercountry adoption.
In Sept we are all moving to Suzhou in Jiangsu provice PRC
When I said ' watch this space' I didn't realise the path our lives would follow.
